Research Grants
1. Investigation of Multichannel Flexible Phased Array Configurations for MR Imaging at 1.5T
Department seed grant, Dec 2010 - Dec 2011, Dept. of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, UCSF.
Goal: This project proposes an investigation approach to simulate the performance of multichannel flexible phased arrays and to lead to great insights into the phased array design for fetal MR imaging at 1.5T. The electromagnetic field distribution of the arrays is numerically simulated by using Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method and the array performance, including signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), specific absorption rate (SAR) and geometry factor (g-factor) maps, is then theoretically calculated and compared.
